The NHL playoffs have arrived, and nothing seems predictable so far. The Leafs and Lightning have traded big wins; the Kraken look more of a challenge than the AVS were expecting, and the Home Ice advantage doesn’t seem to be a thing anymore. Or at least in this first round.
Brad Marchand Over 2.5 Shots
Game 3 | Boston at Florida
The Bruins dropped game two to the Panthers on Wednesday and now travel to Flordia hoping to bounce back. Marchand has been some great hockey and shooting the puck early and often. Over 2.5 Shots seems like a gift after what we’ve seen in the first two games.
David Pastrnak Over 4.5 Shots
Game 3 | Boston at Florida
Game three will be a back-and-forth contest; nobody can sit on a lead. Pastrnak has struggled to get shots in this series, but I like his chances in this contest.
Brent Burns Over 3.5 Shots
Game 3 | Hurricanes and Islanders
40% percent of the Hurricanes’ shots on goal have come from the defensive zone, where Burns has a thirteen percent share. The New York Islanders have a fantastic goals-against average at home, but they also allow the 10th-most shots-attempts and 15th-most shots-on-goal, so he has had a lot more opportunities to shoot the puck in the playoffs than he had during the regular season.
Connor McDavid Over 3.5 Shots
Game 3 | Oilers at Kings
One of the best prop bets of the night, McDavid 6 games in a row with at least 4 shots. Don’t overthink it; just bet it.
